Welcome to the Journey of Personal Development
Hey there, I’m Christian Pyrros, and I’m the Senior Coach at elevanation. I’d love to share with you today exactly why I started in coaching and mentorship, and why I’m still here, twenty years later.
You know I’m fifty years old now, and that’s crazy, because I certainly don’t feel fifty, and yet I remember every single one of my struggles, getting my life from a place of chaos, into a place of success.
And I believe that you have a huge potential locked inside you, which you don’t even know yet. And I know that a powerful connection with the right person will unlock this potential for you.
History is crazy!
And just a few examples for right now… you know, in high school and college, I had no true friends, and was really isolated, keeping company just with my books and my hobbies. Then in my twenties, I was lucky enough to get great jobs, but I wasn’t able to progress consistently in my career. You know, the lack of a social foundation in my life made me inconsistent, and I kept getting fired, and I wasted years of effort in an unproductive spiral. And don’t let me start on relationships and dating…my early relationships were such a disaster, and caused so much unnecessary pain for me, as well as my girlfriends.
What do you wish for?
So why am I saying all this? What I wished for in that entire journey of the struggles in my life, is for someone to be there for me:
• coming from a place of true friendship and honesty
• from a place of support, as a complete human
• from a place of true guidance and wisdom
• free of any ego or alternate motives
Access is everything!
You know what I did have access to, was a lot of smart, educated, and successful people. I spoke with them at length: relatives, teachers, therapists, friends, and business people, but none of those discussions brought me any advice that worked for me. In fact, most of that effort backfired, because the advice that I implemented, didn’t work for me, and that made me only more frustrated and angry at my entire situation. And frustrated with myself as well, thinking that there was something wrong with me!? Maybe you have experienced this feeling at some moment too, in your own journey.
What did coaching do for me?
It wasn’t until I had a great coach, and got fully immersed into coaching, when I finally felt “Aha!”. I’ll do my best to describe it for you! It’s the feeling of finally having someone who is truly on my side and is here just for me. Someone who makes every human effort to connect with me, and help me see things in a new light.
It’s someone who has the amazing perspective to see what I’m capable of, even when I don’t see it or believe it myself. It’s someone who gives me a guiding light in the right direction, and it’s someone who believes in me and my future 110%. And it’s a forthright person, who can give me that extra nudge, to wrestle past any self-doubts or any stupid b***s*** in my head.
Having an amazing coach was the most amazing gift in my life, and helped me so much to get past my own internal resistance, drop my lame excuses for being lazy, and really focus on truly taking care of myself and really doing the hard work needed for my own success. And still to this day, I always have one or two coaches who are supporting me to achieve my next transformation.
My wish for you
And that is my true wish for you, for every young person and every adult on this planet: to have a fantastic connection with the right coach or mentor who is amazing for you. This coach who supports you along your journey, so that you can weather any storm, so that you can achieve any dream, and so that you can live your best life as your true you, full of happiness, grace, and joy.
